Course Description
Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Training – Available for the beginner or experienced individual this course involves both classroom and hands-on training. Content of the program includes: safety rules and legal requirements; operator responsibilities; manufacturers operating instructions; main components; pre-use inspections & documentation; capacity information; set-up procedures; basic principles of operation; maneuvering in tight quarters; workplace inspections; operational hazards; maintenance responsibilities; and evaluation of theory knowledge and operating skills. Includes operator’s workbook which should be retained for future reference (refresher training and evaluation required a minimum of every three years)
Course Content
Theory training and assessment (classroom): 2-3 hours Practical training and assessment (hands-on) - 30 mins max per operator, additional one-on-one time available
Estimated Cost Breakdown
- $195 per operator (minimum 4 people) - $50 per operator for additional class types - One on one training @ $110 per hour
Certification
- Compliant with OH&S regulations, CSA & ANSI/SIA standards
- Certificate and Wallet Card issued upon successful completion
